It is about rich and poor, black and white, different cultures and the fact that these circumstances actually make genuine, honest encounters impossible. The aim is to playfully explore the various elements of bartering and to overcome the divisive nature of existing structures by using wit and humanity. It's about learning from each other. It's about money. And last but not least, it's about sculpture.

miniMEMNON dokumentiert die Entwicklung einer Geschäftsbeziehung in Form eines Blogs. Geschäftspartner sind eine Kunstfigur und der ägyptische Inhaber eines Bazars und das Produkt Miniaturkopien der Memnon-Kolosse in Luxor.

Es geht um arm und reich, schwarz und weiß, um unterschiedliche Kulturen und die Tatsache, dass diese Umstände echte, ehrliche Begegnungen eigentlich unmöglich machen. Es geht darum, in spielerischer Weise die verschiedenen Elemente eines Tauschhandels auszuloten und durch Witz und Menschlichkeit das Trennende der bestehenden Strukturen aufzuheben. Es geht darum, voneinander zu lernen. Es geht um Geld. Und nicht zuletzt geht es um Bildhauerei.
